He is 13 years old.
His name is Taso.
They haven't heard his voice in years.
His mother is standing on my right, across the street.
He's on my left, across the street.
I explain to the mother that whoever said that autistic Tasos has a problem with eye contact is the one with the problem, not Tasos.
The times that Tasos didn't make eye contact with someone was because, quite simply, he wanted NO connection with the person he was talking to.
The supposedly non-verbal Tasos...
He's getting upset.
He flutters his hands.
His eyes glow.
He smiles.
And..
With much modesty and kindness he says:
"YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT I DID!"
And I'm dying of happiness!!!!!!!!.....
Good night!
