Justin is autistic.
He doesn't talk to anyone but me, much less his parents with many phonological processes. He came to me to talk because he really wants to and I am the only one who can help him, according to his written words.(Has the skill of writing)
He throws out items that don't fit his architectural interests during my session with him. His father holds himself back from standing up and "giving" him an on-the-spot and particularly brave punishment while he attends our conference in silence, as per my instructions.
I have forbidden the father to participate in what he likes or dislikes.
It is only trained and that is our contract. It's ok.
I've allowed Justin to throw away unnecessary items to his liking.
It's ok.
Eventually one of them lands on my head. It's ok.
I stand firm.
Father's breath is cut off for seconds.
Οκ.
Justin has a tablet and he's writing.
After the conference, again per my instructions, the father asks Justin in writing why he is doing things appropriate for a child younger than two years old when he is fifteen.
And he answers in writing:
"It is because I like it that way. I know it's not right, but that's the way I like it and that's what I'm going to keep doing.
I don't want to do the right thing but only what I like."
When my father sent me the text I did not wait for our next meeting. It was a Sunday. I couldn't bear to wait. I wrote a late night reply and sent it to him immediately. I quote it to you:
"Justin seems unreasonable.
And my speech therapy seems absurd to you. So I seem absurd to you.
We are both irrational in your eyes.
He and I are in extreme opposition to you "rational"
who adapt easily to the world around you.
But you must remember something:
"WE, THE IRRATIONAL ONES WHO INSIST ON ADAPTING THE WORLD TO OUR STANDARDS, ARE THE ONES WHO BRING CHANGE TO THE PLANET!"
At the moment of our session your son and I are changing the world. I am well aware of that. I hope he does too. This is the primary reason you heard Justin speak ONLY to me.
And you then moved to Patras according to HIS desire to make him speak!
For Justin, Justine and every Justin and every Justin and every Justine I will not cease to HURL! how:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NON-VERBAL AUTISM!
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NON-VERBAL AUTISM!
"THERE IS NO NON-VERBAL AUTISM"
I owe it first to your children and then to myself! I know my mission on this earth!
You are born only once.
PS. I would like to remind you that if your son had not mastered the skill of writing he would be classified as a BIG autistic with a BIG mental handicap!
Very easily.
Without fear and passion.
